SMS with optional encryption
Shout Messages gives you the option to send ordinary texts or encrypted messages.
Standard SMS
Continue using SMS as you normally would with anyone who doesn’t have Shout Messages on their phone.
Encrypted SMS
Keep hackers out. Messages are protected with end-to-end encryption and cannot be manipulated by bad actors.
Send basic photos without the internet or a data plan.
Encrypted images use SMS. They do not require and internet connection or MMS plan.
Meet your offline alternative
Shout can be set as your default SMS and used as an alternative to internet-reliant private messengers, like WhatsApp and Signal.
Shout works best for domestic messaging within the same country. SMS reliability is dependent on private telecom providers, and international SMS may not work properly.
Shout is good at sending basic quality photos. Encrypted photos use SMS. They do not require MMS or mobile data.
Limitations
